Burial Grounds

Ranskill and Torworth share the joint Burial Grounds (Cemetery)

The grounds are located on the Great North Road, situated between Ranskill and Torworth. The Cemetery grounds consist of 2 sites, known as the old Cemetery ground and the new Cemetery ground. The older cemetery remains the property and responsibility of the Church.

The new Cemetery ground was opened in 1993 and is maintained by the Ranskill and Torworth Joint Burial Committee. The members of the committee consist of Parish Councillors from both villages and is funded by the Parish Councils.

Burial Committee meetings usually take place following Ranskill Parish Council meetings about three times per year. The minutes of the meetings can be viewed on the Ranskill Parish Council websites, Minutes & Documents page.
